Project Description
Lions Club of Baroda Rising Star organized a Hunger Relief Activity on 17 July 2026 at Kevdabaug Garden, R. V. Desai Road, Vadodara, with the objective of extending care, compassion, and food support to visually impaired women in the community.
As part of the initiative, the club provided food and nourishment to 35 blind women, offering them a dignified and supportive experience. The activity reflected the Lions commitment to addressing hunger and supporting vulnerable members of society.
The programme was carried out with the active participation of 6 Lions Members and 2 Non-Lions Members. The team worked together to coordinate the food distribution, assist the beneficiaries, and ensure that the activity was conducted smoothly and respectfully.
Objectives of the Activity
To provide food support to 35 visually impaired women.
To contribute towards hunger relief in the local community.

Project Impact

Beyond the immediate food support, the initiative helped promote the values of dignity, inclusion, compassion, and community responsibility. The participation of Non-Lions also helped extend the spirit of service beyond the Lions membership and encouraged wider community involvement.

As part of its commitment to supporting the fight against tuberculosis (TB), a TB Nutrition Kit Distribution Program was organized on 22nd March 2026 at Manjalpur Urban Health Center. The initiative aimed to provide essential nutritional support to TB patients undergoing treatment, helping improve their immunity, recovery, and overall well-being.
Lions members distributed specially prepared nutrition kits containing essential food items rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals. Medical professionals at the health center emphasized the importance of proper nutrition alongside regular medication for the successful treatment of tuberculosis.
The program reflected the Lions' dedication to community health and humanitarian service by extending care and support to those in need. Beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the timely assistance, while Lions members reaffirmed their commitment to serving humanity through meaningful health initiatives.
